This unique furniture gallery/store combines the best of both east and west. You are able to view and purchase various English style pieces of furniture such as bureaus and chests. However the major difference between this furniture and similar pieces which you would find in Europe or the United States is the wood.

Much of this furniture is made from wood native to Japan such as "kiri," which is known as paulownia wood in English.

The building which Aizu Matsumoto Tozaikan occupies is a rest orated farm house which was involved in silk production many years ago. There is also a coffee shop located in our store which offers a small variety of either coffee or herbal tea.

会津桐たんすの "和" と英国アンチック家具の "洋" を結びつけ、さらには伝統と現代を調和させた、今までにない生活提案のギャラリーです。又店内にはコーヒー・ハーブティをお楽しみいただける喫茶コーナーも設けております。

会津松本が移築復元した建物は、いぜん福島県葛尾村の新開家が明治20年代に建て、4代に渡って守りつづけてきたものです。木造土壁の建坪100坪という大きさで、吹き抜け2階造りながら3階屋根裏には養蚕部屋をもうけていました。
