Today it was cloudy and a cold strong wind was blowing. Still many travel groups were  wandering around at Tsurugajou to enjoy the first glimpse of cherry blossom.

My name is Koekert, Daniel (クッケルト・ダニエル) and I am a German student researching for my master thesis at Eyes, JAPAN.

Since I enjoy taking photos and sakura hanami I am happy to update the hanami blog this year.

For all that cannot enjoy watching the cherry blossom in Aizu by themselves I hope my photos can help you to enjoy it even if you are not here.

Please forgive for writing in English but my Japanese is still very limited. From time to time I will try to add more Japanese and hope it is understandable.

今日は風がちょっと強いです。でも、気持ちのいい日差しで一部の桜はもう咲きはじめています。多分来週末には満開になると思います。

Today it was 16ºC warm and rather cloudy. But fortunately it is not raining and the first cherry blossoms start to come out. If we are lucky we may see the first cheery blooms around the castle this weekend.
